If you’re an avid PC gamer, then you must agree that the multicolor lighting aspect that comes with most PC gaming equipment makes the gaming environment more exciting and fascinating. One company that’s well known in this sector is Razer Inc., the developers behind the Razer Synapse software. Razer Synapse is configuration software that allows users to change controls of or assign macros to any of your Razer peripherals. The software comes with plenty of cool features, including cloud-based storage, an infinite number of profiles, heat maps, inter-device communication, stats, and more.

One downside of using the Razer Synapse software is that it pops up a splash screen on every startup. The thing is, the splash screen automatically appears at the center of the PC screen and stays always on top, which can get extremely annoying since you cannot access or even see anything behind the splash screen.

So, if you use Razer’s hardware and have Razer Synapse installed on your PC, you must be wondering, “Can I remove the Razer Synapse splash screen at startup?” Well, in today’s post, we’ll show you how to disable the Razer Synapse splash display screen on your Windows 10 PC.

How to disable the Razer Synapse splash screen at startup

Normally, a splash display screen is an optional addition, and most users find it useless and irritating. Luckily, there is an option that can help you permanently disable the splash screen for the Razer Synapse software.

This approach works if you’re using Razer Synapse 3. If you’re using older hardware that uses Razer Synapse 2, the interface may not be similar.

To disable the pop-up window:

  1. Open the Razer Synapse menu by right-clicking the green Razer Synapse icon in your notification area. If you can’t find the icon, click the “Show hidden icons” arrow to the left of the system tray icons.
  2. Click on “Settings” and make sure you’re on the “General” tab.
  3. Navigate to the “Splash Screen” section and uncheck the box next to “Show on startup”.
  4. Exit the “Settings” window and close the Razer Synapse window.

The splash screen should not appear anymore after making these changes.

Does the Razer Synapse splash screen pop up even after toggling the option off in “Settings”? It could be a bug. In such a case, we recommend that you update your software. Updates are released periodically, and installing the latest updates improves the quality and functionality of the software as well as fixing any bugs.

To install updates:

  1. Find the Razer icon in your notification area (the green icon), and right-click it.
  2. Select the “Check for Updates” option.

If updates are available, be sure to install all of them.

If you’re still unable to get rid of the splash screen, you can disable Razer Synapse from launching at startup. However, this will mean that you have to manually run it every time you want to play, and it can be a nuisance. Some users also reported that disabling the software from running on Windows startup stopped some advanced functions from working. But if you find the pop-up window bothersome, this option could be a temporary solution until a patch is released to fix the bug.

To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click your taskbar and open “Task Manager’.
  2. Switch to the “Startup” tab.
  3. Find Razer Synapse, click on it to highlight it and then select “Disable” at the bottom of the window.

That’s it! The splash display screen shouldn’t be a bother anymore whenever you turn on your PC.
