This is part of an installation to the application FLV Player. It checks to see if the Flash video player is up to date. It should also be in Task Scheduler.

Yeah, this toolbar got installed on my domain controller (don't ask me how), then it started locking-out the account that was used to install it EVERY HOUR. Took me a couple weeks to figure out why this account kept getting locked. UGH!!!

Jenny is correct - the ASK toolbar uses updatetask.exe which calls the internet (hence zone alarm prompt)

google and click second entry. quick summary of sorts: to do with the ask.com toolbar =) if you've installed it-fine. uninstalled--not so much. never---uh...
