What is Winlogon.exe?
Winlogon.exe is a Windows Logon Application. It’s responsible for the login and logout procedures on your system. The winlogon process is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated. When you log into Windows, Winlogon.exe will load in and manage your logging in. After the computer start up, you will select a user name and sometimes enter a password. All those tasks are handled by Winlogon.exe.
