Microsoft\u2019s Cortana was one of the additions to the Windows operating system that brought about a huge change to the way users interact with the computer. It was built specifically for Windows 10, and for all Microsoft devices that used the Windows 10 operating system. Cortana is considered to work as your personal virtual assistant while you are using the Windows OS. But the main thing we are interested in is configuring Cortana to respond to your commands without having to click the microphone on the Search Bar. In the Cortana settings window, click on the Talk to Cortana tab on the left pane. You will see an option in the right pane which lets Cortana respond to \u201cHey Cortana\u201d, toggle it on. There is also a setting which lets Cortana learn the way you say \u201cHey Cortana\u201d. Click on the link to begin the training. Cortana will give you a total of six phrases for you to repeat them so that she will get accustomed to the way you pronounce certain words.<\/p>\n

Once you are done with the training, you will be able to launch Cortana via voice and send out your first email. You can send an email with nothing more than saying ‘hey Cortana’ to get her to pay attention and then send her the command to start the email. Cortana will guide you through the process. So, now that you have sent the email let’s go check to make sure it went okay. As a matter of fact, you don’t need to do any typing for that either. All you need to do is say Hey Cortana- Open Mail. So, Cortana automatically opens the mail and goes to the Inbox. Now, you need to navigate to the Sent box. There, you will find the email which you composed just by talking to Cortana. So, there you have it, the quick and easy way to send an email with no typing, hands-free, with Windows 10 and Cortana and of course a microphone. So, play around with it, experiment with it.
