  1. How can I disable unneeded processes?
    Select the process by clicking on it and then select "Kill Process" from the menu. Alternatively you can select the process and press "Del" on your keyboard. Important: please be careful when disabling processes. Some of them are required by the system to work correctly.
  2. How can I change process priority?
    Right-click on the process and hover the mouse pointer over the "Set Priority" item in the appeared menu. A new menu will appear where you will be able to specify priority for the process you have clicked on.
  3. How can I disable a Windows service?
    Right-click on the service and select the "Stop Service" item from the drop-down menu.
  4. How can I check whether a process is safe via Internet?
    Select the process by clicking on it and then select "Search FileInspect" from the menu. A File Inspect Library web page with a detailed description for the selected process will be opened.
  5. How to remove Ask Toolbar?
    You can easily uninstall the toolbar using the instructions below for Windows XP:
    1. Close all open Web browsers
    2. From the "Start" menu in Windows, select "Control Panel"
    3. Select "Add/Remove Programs"
    4. Select the program with the Ask logo and the text "Ask Toolbar" (or our partner's brand for a custom Toolbar)
    5. Click "Change/Remove"

    You can easily uninstall the Toolbar using the instructions below for Windows Vista:
    1. Close all open Web browsers
    2. From the "Start" menu in Windows, select "Control Panel"
    3. Under the "Programs" icon, select "Uninstall a program"
    4. Select the program with the Ask logo and the text "Ask Toolbar" (or our partner's brand for a custom Toolbar)
    5. Click "Uninstall" and then "Continue" to remove the Toolbar

    If you reopen your Web browser and still see the toolbar, you may need to restart your computer for the uninstall process to be completed.
